Yes.. Men, Women, Couples, LGBTI but I do not work with those under 13. 

Are you registered ?

Yes, I am registered with the New Zealand Association of Counsellors and  my and undertake regular monthly supervision as well as undertaking ongoing Professional Development.


I charge $95-00 per session however if you are currently experiencing financial hardship I have a sliding scale down to $65-00 per session. (i.e for those who are unemployed or are not earning $20 per hour etc)


What if I cannot keep my appointment ? 

If you cannot keep your appointment please let me know within 24 hours of your appointment time. Your time is reserved for you and cant be offered to anyone else unless you let me know.

How often do I need to come ?

Sometimes if we are nearly ready for change just one or two sessions can instill in us the confidence in deciding  how to make a change and to work out a plan to actuate the change using strategies that we have explored in counselling. 

Most people see me weekly but than can graduate to fortnightly or monthly meetings as your insight, motivation and resilience increases. 


For those in crisis I can usally see more than once a week, if required. 

Do you liase / collaborate with GPs, Psychiatrists ? 

Yes but only with your written permission.

I grew up in Christchurch and through my 20's I worked in many roles including as a furnace man, cook, welder, builder, tourist operator before completely changing direction towards my current roles by completing a Psychology Degree and a Diploma of Counselling and doing an internship for a year at Whitman Walker Clinic in Washington DC. I have worked in the DHB Mental Health Sector for 15 years and I am passionate about Community Development. Since 2006 I have been coordinator of the Community Conservation Corps Trust in Point Chevalier. We provide work for those recovering from Mental Illness and grow 1000'S of Native Trees every year for revegatation projects around the region.
